Pacific Cycling Centre Offers Technical & Fitness Cyclo-Cross Program in Victoria

 

Pacific Cycling Centre Ltd. (PCC) is hosting a cyclo-cross program in August for athletes of all levels, ages and disciplines. The camps and training program will be directed and run by Houshang Amiri, Olympic and elite Master coach, along with qualified assistant coaches.

No matter what your level, age and cycling discipline, whether you’re a mountain biker, road or BMX cyclist, or just focusing on cyclo-cross season: this program will improve your riding and biking skills.

This four week program is suitable for anyone new to cyclo-cross, and for experienced cyclo-cross athletes. Our program will help you learn or fine-tune your skills and techniques before your first race.

The camps will introduce you to and improve a range of essential skills for cyclocross racing such as:

• Safety and bike set-up
• Techniques for quickly mounting and dismounting the cyclocross bike
• Running with the bike
• Jumping over obstacles
• Riding over obstacles
• Carrying the bike
• Cornering, climbing, descending and accelerating

Cyclo-cross is the perfect winter cross-training sport for all cyclists. Many world class mountain bikers and road cyclists train in cyclo-cross during the fall and winter months. Our cyclo-cross camps will improve your bike handling and cycling fitness, which translates over to any discipline. Read more about cyclo-cross here

The Technical & Fitness Cyclo-cross Program runs from July 31 to August 29 and includes a package deal of three camps and a four-week personalized training program based on individual athlete needs plus optional discounted fitness testing. Or, sign up for individual camps based on your needs.
