Planning for the 2010 National Mountain Bike Championships is well underway. Volunteers with the Rundle Mountain Cycling Club used the latest Alberta Cup hosted at the Nordic Centre to light a fire and get the final details together. Mountain bike momentum and spirit is at an all-time high in the Bow Valley.

New Race Course

The race course design has been completed and it incorporates many of the new trails at Canmore Nordic Centre. Racers will enjoy a ride that does not drop below the cross country stadium, hits technical descents such as the new Eye Dropper and Laundry Chutes& yet also still contains 250 metres of climbing per 7 km lap, including the loved and hated Oven . (Race Course map is attached. Final versions will be included in the Technical Guide).
