Just Another Mountain Bike Race (JABR), announced today that Pearson Financial Services Ltd. Will be the presenting sponsor. "The Pearson Financial Services team understands the importance of physical activity, and, alongside Sun Life Financial, is dedicated to promoting a healthy, active lifestyle," said Peter Pearson, President and Financial Advisor, Pearson Financial Services Ltd. "We are pleased to be able to sponsor an event that is committed and dedicated to encouraging healthy living in the Squamish community."
On-line registration for the JABR XC Mountain Bike Race will open June 30th. The race is a soon-to-be classic epic loop bike race through the Garibaldi/Alice Lake area trails that are home to other races such as the Test of Metal, Gearjammer, MOMAR and the BC Bike Race.
Just Another Bike Race, or JABR, is the idea of a Squamish mountain biker and recreational racer, Dwayne Kress, because he felt that Squamish could roll with another mountain bike in the month August.
"With a minimum of one Mountain Bike Event per month from April to September, Squamish truly belongs in the category of 'must be ridden' world-class mountain biking destinations," Kress said.
The JABR course design qualities are between the Test of Metal (for length) and the Gearjammer (for difficulty). This race is one that both roadies and mountain bikers will enjoy as there is a little bit of something for everyone.
JABR XC Mountain Bike Race is seeking local business support in the form of prizing for race participants and volunteers. Volunteers are also required for set-up, tear-down, execution and planning of the event and event venue. Interested individuals and companies can contact Dwayne Kress by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The JABR XC Mountain Bike Race is part of the Test of Metal Group of events and is the fifth and final race in the "Hell of a Series 'beat you up and spit ya out' multi-race mountain bike event."
