October 8/10 12:51 pm - Interior Cyclocross Shots and Blocks Series Launches in B.C.

Cyclocross is gaining momentum in the BC interior this fall with three events included in the Interior Cyclocross Shots and Blocks Series presented by ClifBar.poster

"The goal of our series is to provide a fun, inexpensive and inclusive race series that gets as many people out enjoying cyclocross as possible" said Kamloops organizer Catharine Pendrel. "So whether you have a cross bike or a mountain bike, bring it out and sign up to race!"

Up next is Kelowna's inaugural Cyclocrawws presented by Kelowna Cycle, which is being held Sunday, October 17th at Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park. Sign on begins at 11 am, with a B category racing at Noon and A at 1 pm.

The last stop in the Series will be the Kamloops Cacti Cross presented by ClifBar on Halloween - Sunday, October 31st. This event is being held at the top of the Kamloops Bike Ranch in Juniper Ridge, with the support of the City of Kamloops and the Kamloops Performance Cycling Centre.

Every racer will go home with some ClifBar goodies and a chance at draw prizes, including Oakley Radars or Jawbones.

Organizers have been impressed by the support received through Cycling BC and our local communities in bringing Cyclocross races to the BC interior. If you are in the area please come out and enjoy in the fun!
