Following are the results from last Sunday's (May 18, 1997) Velo NB MTB Series # 1 Cross Country Race held in Moncton. There were over 130 competitors in all categories.

In other news, Race # 2 of the Velo Road Series to be held in Sussex this coming weekend will be a Canada Games qualifier.

*** Thursday night timetrials ***

This is a weekly timetrial race. Start/finish area is on Marine Drive just North of 41st Ave./Marine. Race route is along Marine Drive which takes you up to North of UBC and then back. Total race time is approx. 20min. to 30min.

Race fee is $2! There are no prizes though. Hey, but it's a good training/torture ride!

Mountain bikers welcome! You can do it on any type of bike.

Registration opens at 6:30pm and closes at 6:55pm. First rider starts at 7:00pm then with 1min. interval between riders.
