This recall involves bicycles with Rocky Mountain Bicycle printed on the frame. Only bicycles with certain serial numbers, located on the bottom side of the bicycle, are included in this recall. The recalled bicycles include the following models, with the specified colour:

Solo CX 2009 White
Solo CX 2010 White
Solo CXD 2008 Gun Metal Grey
Solo CXD 2009 Titanium Silver
Solo CXR 2009 Black
Metropolis SEA 2010 Grey



The front fork steering tube can break, posing a fall injury hazard.

Procycle has received nine reported incidents, in Canada, of front fork steering tubes breaking; two reported injuries of cuts and scrapes, and one reported a broken bone injury.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these bicycles.

Consumers should immediately stop using the bicycles and contact their Rocky Mountain bicycles dealer or Procycle with the serial number to determine if it is included in the recall and to arrange for a free replacement of the fork.

Number Sold: Approximately 1,026 of the recalled bicycles were sold in Canada at bicycle and other retail specialty stores.
Time Period Sold

The recalled products were sold from June 2007 to November 2010.
