Perras Signs Pro Contract
Dominique Perras, who was a stagiaire with the Swiss Post Team in Japan last week, just signed a contract with a new team that was to be revealed yesterday in Lausanne.
This new team will be in the 2nd division and will do major international races like Paris-Nice, Semaine Catalane (Spain), Tour de Normandie, Tour de Suisse, Tireno-Adriatico (Italy). Also, this new team will participate in other UCI races.
This team (we are still looking for its name !) will have Jean-Jacques Loup as manager, Jacques Michaud as athletic manager, many staff members who were with the Swiss Post Team like Chistian Charriere, Pierre Bourquenoud, Cedric Fragniere, Marcel Strauss, Roger Beuchat, and new riders like Mathias Buxhofer (Aut), Alexander Husof (Bielor.) et Jerome Delbove (ex-Cofidis, France).
Dominique Perras will be riding with the Canadian National Team in Japan, in 2 weeks.

There are only a couple of days left to register your opinion in our latest poll. The question is "Should Downhill receive equal funding and resources as Cross-country from cycling associations, despite not being an Olympic sport? "
So far, the nay sayers are double those in favour of DH funding.
