April 20/11 14:38 pm - April 23rd Midweek TT Cancelled

Posted by Editoress on 04/20/11

Due to too low of a participation rate, Midweek has decided to cancel the Time Trial planned for this Saturday, April 23rd, from Belfountain. Midweek required about 100 participants to cover policing, timing and medical support costs. Refunds will be issued to those who have pre-registered.

All riders interested in using time trialing to improve their racing skills are encouraged to enter the May 7th edition.

Please recall you don't need a time trial bike to utilize this series to improve your performance and racing skills. All you need to do is enter the "no bike check" category.

Any experienced bike racer knows that good time trialing skills, the mind over body control, and energy management capabilities you develop from time trials are the core to successful performance on the road. It's key to a successful break away, being a rabbit in a "team-play", getting ready for the sprint, and even reconnecting with the group when a split occurs, out of a corner or after a mechanical. These skills are also key for successful transition from a local club team to the next level of racing.

Midweek, has a philosophy of delivering the programming developing bike racers need to move to the next level in their racing. We encourage you to partake in the opportunity presented to you.
