Spring is here and Chico Racing is excited to host stop #2 of the Ontario Cup XC Mountain Bike Race Series presented by Plastiglas on Sunday, May 15th. Woodnewton, an exclusive race course only minutes from Uxbridge, features a dynamic course loaded with fun, twisty trails and a few new surprises in store for 2011.
Enhanced rock garden features abound, with easy options, and some new exciting sections of trail have been added. Chico Racing has also added a 750 metre training loop to help riders warm-up without having to ride up and down the local concession roads. Expect Chico Racing's renowned attention to detail, great food services and some nicely marked spectator routes featuring some awesome three-way viewing sections. This event has categories for everyone from beginners to pros with race distances ranging from 6 kilometres to 40 kilometres.
In addition to Sunday's race, Chico Racing is hosting a Learn to Race Clinic on Saturday, May 14th. This clinic features some of Canada's best riders and coaches with sessions for both adults and youth.
Pre-registration is available until Tuesday, May 10th for the cross country race, with event-day registration on site. The Learn To Race clinic's online registration ends Thursday, May 12th with no event day registration on site. Visit www.chicoracing.com for more information.
