Canadian national team member Monique Sullivan sent this message:

I am running a development sprint camp in Calgary June 29th - July 4th. There will be both road and track components and anyone is welcome. There will be a maximum of 20 riders. The first six out of town riders to register will get free accomodation!

The details:

Objective: To provide an opportunity for developing athletes that are new to track cycling an opportunity to acquire more experience on the track in a fun and positive environment. The camp will feature both track and road training components.

Camp Size: A maximum of 20 athletes.

Eligibility: Participants from Alberta must show proof of membership with an Alberta Bicycle Association (ABA) affiliated club. Participants from outside Alberta must possess a UCI licence. Participants who are not members of an ABA affiliated club or do not possess a UCI licence must purchase a one event permit.

Selection Criteria: Athletes are asked to submit a letter of interest to attend the camp to National Team Athlete Monique Sullivan at mmjsullivan@gmail.com. Selected athletes will be informed of their selection no later than June 17th.

Equipment: Both road and track bikes are required. If you do not own a track bike, please indicate this in your application and rentals will be available.

Accommodations: Accommodations will be provided for the first six athletes on a first come - first serve basis. For the remaining athletes, alternative options (Hotel Alma) will be suggested.

Transportation: Athletes will be riding road bikes to and from the track; transportation to the host house from the airport will be the athlete's responsibility and expense. Cab fare is approximately $40 to NW Calgary.

Anticipated Costs: Riders will be responsible for all costs incurred during this camp. The estimated cost of this camp per athlete is $200, which includes track time, insurance, accommodation (for athletes staying at the host house) and travel to and from the airport. Additional costs for food as required.

The camp will be run by National Team athlete Monique Sullivan and former National Team athlete Mark MacDonald.

Please contact Monique Sullivan at mmjsullivan@gmail.com to register or for more information.
