The MTBA National XC Round at Cascades, Hobart was a huge success. With an excellent venue, weather and atmosphere, the spectators managed to experience some tight competitive racing. The results and rankings from the event can be viewed at: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~mtba/results.html Look out for a full report in the near future.

This weekend (13th Febrtuary 2000) will see Round 4 of the MTBA National Cross Country Series and Trials event. The location of the event is at Candlebark Park, Doncaster, Melbourne VIC. Fat Tyre Flyers are hosting the event and there will be an opportunity to ride with Australia's best on a guided tour of the Doncaster course. There will be a car boot sale and $6000 in prizes for the race. For more information call 0418 502 273. After the Doncaster event is complete, the rankings page and results will be posted. The Rankings will be expanded to include all categories and all competitors.

Also to clarify any misunderstanding or confusion, the Officer event being held by Cycling Australia will not be awarded UCI points.
