Cross on the Rock Double-Header in Nanaimo this Saturday & Sunday

This weekend is the conclusion of the Golden Week of 'Cross on Vancouver Island! After Monday's race in Victoria, we have a double-header in Nanaimo this Saturday and Sunday, giving us three 'Cross on the Rock events in one week - we're going to see some tired racers come Sunday afternoon!

Saturday is the Island Championships at the legendary Beban Park - site of the first ever 'cross race on the Island (in 2005), and the host to the 2006 Canadian National Cyclocross Championships. Unlike the rest of the series, this one has age-based categories instead of our regular ability-based categories, and the course will present classic features such as the BMX track and the sand pit of doom.

Sunday is the fifth race in the series at Bowen Park, and will feature more altitude, twisty off-camber grass, the LONG stair climb, and of course the much-loved beach volleyball courts.

The race bible has been posted at CrossontheRock.com, racing begins at 11:00 am both days, and we hope to see you out in Nanaimo this weekend!
