November 10/11 11:25 am - Kamloops Fillinger Wins 24 hr World ultra Time trial Championship

Ian Fillinger from Kamloops BC took first place at the 2011, 24 hr Time trial Championships held in the Coachella Valley of Southern California on Friday the 5th and Saturday 5th of November .  Fillinger completed 432.6 miles (696.05 km) in the 24 hr event that started at 6 pm on Friday under heavy rain that continued for the first 8+ hours.  Fillinger, a member of the Interior Grasslands Cycling club and sponsored by H&R Block went to the front and never looked back.
