April 13/12 15:32 pm - Nyhaug Seventh in Super Time Trials at BMX Event in Norway

Canada's BMX superstar Tory Nyhaug of Coquitlam, BC finished in seventh place in the Super Time Trial Finals on Friday, at the second UCI BMX Supercross of 2012, in Randaberg Norway.

Nyhaug, who finished fourth in the opening time trials of 2012 in Chula Vista, posted a time of 32.647 seconds on the brand new track in scenic Randaberg.

"I wanted to podium but I'm still happy to finish seventh. I'm looking forward to racing tomorrow… it's going to be fun," commented Tory Nyhaug from Norway.

In doing so, Nyhaug qualified for the supercross race, the only Canadian to do so. The top64 riders of the time trials qualify for the elimination rounds of the supercross.
 
American rider Connor Fields posted the fastest time in the finals. Fields will attempt to win his third straight Supercross victory tomorrow, after winning the final race of last season, and the opening race this season in Chula Vista. Fields also won the time trials in Chula Vista.
