Riders are really starting to get excited about annual Ontario stop on the Canada Cup circuit, on June 2nd and 3rd, at Hardwood Ski and Bike. This is Ontario’s chance to host Canada’s best riders and also participate in races from beginner to elite. With the Olympics so close ahead it is especially exciting to have both Emily Batty and Geoff Kabush confirmed to be racing! Both Emily and Geoff have had stellar World Cup performances and are expected to represent Canada for 2012.
There have been a huge number of riders checking out the Canada Cup course over the past weeks, and all are pleasantly surprised at the changes and new sections included. The many “option” lines create great discussion between laps. Elite and Jr Expert categories will race more laps on a shortened six kilometre course, with all other categories racing standard Ontario Cup distance courses. The course continues to be very spectator-friendly, with many excellent viewing areas near the stadium. See www.pulseracing.ca/2012canadacup.html; for an updated course map and schedule.
Easy On-Line Entry for the Trek Store Canada Cup/Ontario Cup #3 is open until June 1st. Visit www.pulseracing.ca/2012canadacup.html; for full event details and online entry. Note: Ontario Cup Series riders are automatically entered in the Canada Cup/Ontario Cup #3.
FREE Pre-Ride clinics: Trek Canada Team members and Emily Batty will be providing FREE pre-ride clinics on Saturday, June 2nd, for youth and sport categories. See www.pulseracing.ca/canadacupprerideclinics.html; for details and to register.
