This past weekend Canadian junior rider Benjamin Perry had some notable results in Belgium, winning and finishing 2nd in back to back Kermis races.

Saturday's race saw Perry win by attacking out of the breakaway bunch, over a 1km rise to ride in alone.

Sunday the peloton let 2 riders escape mid race, one being Perry. Iin the final dash for the line he was bested by his breakaway companion and rolled in for 2nd place.

Next weekend he will be competing in a large European stage race that spends four days on the course of Liege-Baston-Liege and features a team time trial.

Below is a link to Benjamin's blog where you can find detailed race reports and various updates written by him.

Ben lives in St.Catharines and rides Trigon bikes and Team CHCH.
