Fullana Leads at Halfway Point
We just received a report from Neil Ross (national team assistant manager) at the Houffalize World Cup, where the women are about halfway through their race (1.5 laps to go).
Alison Dunlap (GT) was the early leader, but she has dropped back after fading, leaving world champion Maragrita Fullana in first place, followed closely by Corrine Dorland. Australian Mary Grigson is sitting third, at a bout 30 seconds, with Paola Pezzo at 1 minute and Dunlap at 1:30. Alison Sydor is well off the pace, 4 minutes down on Fullana.
Neil says that the conditions are pretty good - overcast but about 20 degrees Celcius. There was a little bit of rain overnight, but it has dried up a fair bit.
Next report at the end of the women's race.
