Team CDC has some exciting events coming up heading into late Summer. This weekend the team will be racing the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont.  Green Mountain Stage race features four stages, a Time Trial, Circuit Race, Road Race and a Criterium. The team is looking forward to competing in their first stage race as a team.

Riding for a cause team member Stephen Welsh of Barrie will be riding across Canada in the Sears National kids Cancer ride. Stephen has been actively engaged in fundraising for causes related to Cancer research and improving the lives of those living with Cancer. A cause close to Stephens heart after losing his close friend Adam Fedosoff to cancer earlier this year whom he shared his love of cycling with. We wish Stephen all the best and safe travels as he rides from coast to coast.

The final big event on the teams schedule is the marquee Centurion Cycling event, Blue Mountain. The team will be taking on the Timex Vertical Challenge on the Saturday Sept 15. A very difficult elimination event racing up the harsh steep climb of Scenic Caves road.  On Sunday the team will be contesting the 50 mile race up and down the beautiful Niagara Escarpment.

With the race season winding down the team wishes to again thank our title sponsor Centurion Cycling and the Barrie Cycling Club for facilitating the teams efforts this year.
