Houffalize - Men's 3rd Lap

Trish Sinclair has checked in with a third lap report on the men's World Cup race in Houffalize. It is still Filip Meirhaeghe, Christophe Dupouey and Miguel Martinez at the front, with Meirhaeghe looking the strongest. Bas Van Doren is chasing on his own at 34 seconds, with a group of 4 11 seconds further behind - Tom Larsen, Thomas Frischknecht, Jose Hermida and Lado Fumic.

Ryder Hesjedal has moved up to 22nd place, but Roland Green is struggling and has dropped to 39th. Andreas Hestler is riding extremely strongly, and has moved up to 41st - Trish syays that before the race Andreas had planned to pace himself; it appears to be working well. Seamus McGrath is just behind in 43rd, and Mathieu toulouse is also moving up nicely - to 69th from 86th a lap earlier. No sign of Peter Wedge - he appears to have abandoned, like Eric Tourville. Trish says that it has gotten very hot (approaching 30 Celcius), and many riders are dropping out.
