Tickets are now on sale for the 2013 UCI World Elite Cyclo-cross Championships powered by Exergy, which will be held on February 2-3, 2013, at Eva Bandman Park. Single-day general admission tickets are $25; two-day general admission tickets are $40. Children under the age of 10 attend at no cost. Tickets can be purchased online at www.Louisville2013.com.

The 2013 UCI World Elite Cyclo-cross Championships will be the first time the 60-year-old event has been held outside of Europe. Louisville, or as the locals pronounce it 'Loo-UH-vul', is ready and excited to celebrate with the world the high-energy racing that is cyclo-cross.

"It is an exciting time for the sport of cyclo-cross in the United States and the world and this historic moment is the culmination of 15 years of passionate work. We now have the opportunity to host the world and show Europe what American cyclo-cross is truly about," said Bruce Fina, Louisville 2013 executive director.

"I want to encourage everyone to make plans to attend the world championships in Louisville," commented US Cyclo-cross National Champion Jeremy Powers of Team Rapha-Focus. "Come be part of the history as the United States becomes the first country outside of Europe to host the world championships. I look forward to racing for the USA on our home turf and I hope to see everyone there."

Louisville is the type of town where people can spend a few days experiencing incredible restaurants, arts, iconic sports museums, bars, unique urban bourbon trail, Southern hospitality, Midwestern charm and friendly attitude. Simply said, Louisville knows how to throw a party.

"With our rich heritage and passion for sports, we are proud to welcome cyclo-cross riders and fans to Louisville," said Karl Schmitt, executive director of the Louisville Sports Commission. "As home to the Kentucky Derby for 138 years, it is woven into the fabric of our community to embrace events and visitors from around the world, which is why we are committed to providing an outstanding experience for those traveling to Louisville."

In addition to general admission tickets, single-day VIP tickets and VIP tables are available starting at $125.
