This is Day 3 of the 2012 Canadian Cyclist Gift Guide.  Today we suggest a session with a coach or trainer.  It doesn't matter how long someone has been riding and/or racing, everyone can benefit from having another knowledgable person take a look at their level of fitness, exercise program and goals, and make some suggestions.

Whether your intended gift recipient plans on racing, is preparing for a Granfondo or charity ride or just want to start next season in better shape than usual, an assessment of their current form will help will them prepare for next season.

There are qualified coaches and trainers all across the country.  We've talked about some in the past:  TaG Cycling in North Vancouver and Whistler, Pacific Cycling Centre in Victoria, CoachChris in southern Ontario, Peak Centre in Montreal, Burlington and Ottawa etc ... to name just a few.  Beyond that, your provincial cycling association can provide a list of qualified coaches in your area.

This is a personal gift that will help motivate your cyclist for next season.
