World Cup 2001

The UCI has published a schedule for the 2001 Mountain Bike World Cup. Keeping in mind that it is extremely early for the schedule (usually not confirmed until later in June, and subject to contracts being signed with national federations), it looks like Canada will get two World Cups next year - Whistler (July 7/8), and Mont Ste Anne (August 25/26). Both of these are scheduled to be triples, ie: cross-country, downhill and dual. Mont Ste Anne would be the World Cup final, before the World Championships in Vail, Colorado. Now, we said this is tentative. It is so tentative that when we called the Whistler organizers, they said that THEY hadn't heard anything from the UCI...

April 7/8 World Cup XC #1 Napa Valley, USA
May 12/13 World Cup XC #2 Sarentino, ITA
