February 1/13 8:59 am - Cyclo-cross World Championships Rescheduled

A press conference was hurriedly convened this morning to announce the rescheduling of the Sunday races for Elite Women and Men to tomorrow (Saturday), putting all four championship events on the one day.  Very heavy rain north of Louisville has meant that a flood crest on the Ohio River is expected to reach Louisville on Sunday, which would likely put lower lying sections of the course underwater. 

Below is the revised schedule for Saturday:

9:45 am Junior Men

11 am  Elite Women

12:30 pm U23 Men

2:30 pm Elite Men

The Elite riders will ride at their usual times, just 24 hours earlier than planned, while Saturday's races (Junior and U23 Men) will take place earlier than scheduled.  All podiums will take place together after the final race.
