Centurion Cycling is very excited to announce its first ever invitational U23 National Stage Race event at Blue Mountain Village, September 13th, 14th, and 15th 2013.  The Centurion Prospect Challenge! This sanctioned event will bring together the best young riders from provincial Teams across Ontario, BC, Alberta, and Quebec. There will also be some independent teams, including the Centurion Cycling Development Team.  "The OCA is extremely excited to be working with Centurion Cycling in putting together what is sure to be one of the highlights for Canadian U23 athletes in 2013. We realize that partnerships with Centurion Cycling and people like Steve Bauer are crucial in moving the sport of Cycling forward in the province of Ontario. We look forward to offering Canada's best U23 athletes a stage to compete on, above and beyond what they have seen in the past." - Ontario Cycling Association

Centurion Cycling's mission is to develop and grow cycling in Canada.  This stage race is sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association. The Prospect Challenge will include the following: Friday night Hill Climb up the Niagara Escarpment Scenic Caves Hill, Saturday Afternoon Criterium through Blue Mountain Village... fun and fast.   Sunday the athletes will take on the Centurion 100 mile course, there is a total of $5000.00 to be won during this event.  Hosting this event is giving our national level competitors an opportunity to enhance their skills, get national exposure, and show Canada what cycling has to offer.  SportsNet will be covering this event.

"Our dedication and passion is something that these up and coming athletes need.  This is only the beginning of an amazing journey for both athletes, organizers, coaches and spectators.  An event like this will help develop their skills and create excitement for both spectators and athletes alike" , said Centurion Cycling Founder Graham Fraser.

Having nation wide support for these athletes is very important.  We want Canada to support cycling and its growth.  Steve Bauer will be hosting the event and he shares the same vision as Centurion Cycling.  "I admire and appreciate the initiative of Centurion cycling to launch an U23 age category Prospect Challenge during Centurion Blue Mountain.  It is very important that cycling organizers continue to make efforts to increase the competitive opportunity for our youth athletes in Canada. Centurion Cycling is setting an excellent example.  As the host for the inaugural Centurion Prospect Challenge.  It will be a pleasure to work with Graham Fraser and company in this critical vision for the well-being of our sport" - Steve Bauer
