August 21/13 12:27 pm - OCA Sets Date for AGM

A notice of meeting was circulated earlier this year for an AGM that was held on April 27, 2013. Unfortunately that meeting was adjourned before the business of the day could be addressed.  A message from the president, Chris Chambers, was posted on our website, May 2, 2013, regarding that meeting.

In light of this, we will be holding two meetings starting at 1:00 pm, October 5, 2013:

• A Special meeting to address the proposed bylaw changes

• Annual General Meeting

The meetings will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton adjacent to Toronto's Pearson Airport.

Information Package

A detailed information package will be circulated to all eligible members.  Included will be clear and definitive information on the proposed bylaw changes, elections and proxy process.  It is anticipated that this package will be in the mail to eligible members September 9, 2013.

In order to meet our publication date for circulating information on nominees it is strongly recommended that nominations be submitted by September 13, 2013.  Nominations are required to be in our office no later than 7 days before the AGM  (September 27, 2013).

Full details on the bylaws, nominations, proxies and the election process will be in the package sent to the membership the week of September 3, 2013.
