On October 6th, in Kamloops, BC, the Interior Grasslands Cycling Club will host their final event of the 2013 season. The event is a 34 kilometre mass start hill climb, from Hefley Creek to Sun Peaks ski resort. There are some cattle guards, but excellent road surface all the way. This is our third year for this event. Age groups apply.

Hefley Creek Hall is the sign-on and the race start is located approximately 15 kilometres outside of Kamloops on Hwy 5 North, at the start of the road to Sun Peaks. Sign on at 9:00 am with race start at 10:00 am.

After the event there will be lunch and the awards ceremony at Masa's Grill on the mountain, at around 1:15 pm.

Last year's winner was Olav Stana with a time of 1 hour and 13 minutes, followed by national age group time trial champion Chris McNeil at 1 hour and 15 minutes. This race is not for the faint hearted.

The entry fee includes a commemorative t-shirt for $20.00. All entries must sign a waiver or have a current Canadian racing licence. Keep your calendars open for this challenging event.
