After a short break for the Holidays, track racing continues this Saturday night (January 11th) at the Forest City Velodrome in London, Ontario.

Madison racing takes centre stage, with seven teams doing battle in the 6 Day format event. The evening will feature two Madisons, Sprints, Scratch Race and Miss & Out for the racers.

In addition to the regular racing, two special events will be held during the evening. For the youth racers a local bike shop - Reynolds Cycle - is holding a series of six races through the winter of 2014. The first event is a 20 lap Handicap race, with competitors accumulating a point a lap to determine the winner.

For the Masters, The FCV Master's Challenge will also be a series of six races to determine a Challenge Champion.

For the Madison teams, this will be Night #3 in the Six Day format event that began in November and will wrap up at the end of February. Madison racing started at Madison Square Gardens in the late 1800's .... the premise of the race is two riders per team and they make exchanges to place each other into the race. The team who covers the most laps and gains the most points is the winner at the end of the event .... This weekend's racing you will not want to miss.

Racing starts at 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 11th. General adult admission is $10.00, Seniors $5.00, and Kids are always FREE.
