Registration for the 2014 Trek Dirt Series, North America's leading female-focused instructional mountain bike camp series, opened February 1st to record-setting demand. For the second year in a row, registration doubled in the first weeks over the previous season, reinforcing the trend that women's mountain biking is growing at an ever-accelerating rate in North America. The 2014 Trek Dirt Series will host 19 camps throughout Colorado, British Columbia, Alberta, California, Washington, Utah, and Oregon.

Dirt Series camps offer the opportunity for riders of all levels to test the latest in Trek mountain bike technology, under the tutelage and support of the best dirt-shredding coaches in the industry. The massive growth in interest is part of the reason Trek returns for a fifth year as the title sponsor of the Dirt Series camps, equipping the program with the right tools to educate and inspire its riders. Since 2000, over 10,000 riders have improved their skills, confidence, and riding experience by attending Dirt Series camps.

"The best part of the Trek Dirt Series camps is seeing the pure happiness from the riders who learn to descend a technical rocky section, nail a skinny, or jump a gap they never would have dreamed of trying before their time with a Dirt Series coach," noted Trek Women's Product Manager Amanda Schulze. "It's so fun for Trek to be part of this movement of getting more women on the mountain."

Dirt Series camps offer a variety of riding education across MTB disciplines, from XC, to technical trail and gravity, and everything in-between. The majority of the camps are women's specific regardless of skill level, with three co-ed camps offered for male and female riders of all ability levels.
