March 9/14 13:10 pm - SRAM Introduces Downhill-Specific Drivetrain

Posted by Editoress on 03/9/14

SRAM has just announced the introduction of a downhill-specific drivetrain system.  The X01 DH group will consist of a carbon single ring crankset (30, 32, 34, 36 or 38 tooth chainring), 7-speed trigger shifter and rear derailleur, and 10-24 tooth 7-speed cogset.  The system will use the existing narrow XX1 11-speed chain.  A less expensive option will be a 10-speed version of the rear derailleur that will work with existing 10-speed cogsets and SRAM shifters.

SRAM says the X01 DH components will be on the market in April.
