RaceDots has partnered with Podium Imports for distribution in Canada. Starting this month, Podium will have RaceDots in stock and ready for shipping to bike and run retailers from coast to coast.
RaceDots are magnetic race number holders that eliminate the need to poke holes through your expensive cycling and running apparel. The patent pending nested rare-earth magnets hold a number bib firmly in place yet allow for adjustment and repositioning of the number without causing any damage to the fabric.
"When I first saw this product I immediately knew I wanted to add it to our lineup," says Podium's owner Brian McCoy. "The logic of the idea, and the simple eloquence of the design make this a no-brainer, and I expect within a year there will be RaceDots in the field at practically every bike and running event in the country."
RaceDots founder Jason Berry financed the start-up through a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo that achieved one of its highest grossing sports product issues to date.
"We already have overwhelming consumer interest in Canada, and I am confident that we have a partner there now who can meet the needs of that market," states Berry, noting that Podium’s broad-based dealer profile captures running, cycling and multi-sport retailers, all of whom are important categories for RaceDots.
RaceDots are sold in packages of 5 or 10 pieces, in a number of different color options, including models with reflective backing. While only available in stock colors at this time, there are plans to roll out a custom program in the near future.
