Silber Pro Cycling is pleased to announce the hiring of Guy Napert-Frenette as its Communications Manager. Napert-Frenette has been managing bilingual communications for Cycling Canada for the past five years and has worked onsite with a wide range of cycling teams, notably as the Press Officer for Team SpiderTech. He brings over 12 years of experience in the sports industry to the team, including participation at two Olympic Games.

"Hiring Guy was an easy decision," said Scott McFarlane, the team's owner. "He is the most well-established Communications Manager in Canadian cycling and he knows the sport, the riders and both the Canadian and US markets."

One of Napert-Frenette's first tasks is to establish a three-year program that maximizes the team's media resources and builds dynamic, measurable programs with financial and industry sponsors. His hiring bolsters Silber's staff, and follows the team's recent announcement that Gord Fraser is on board to direct the team for two years.

"I've said before that this year is about putting the building blocks in place to produce one of the best teams in North America," explained McFarlane. "The amount of knowledge and the number of industry contacts that Gord and Guy bring to the table take our program to the next level. I wanted someone to establish functioning programs for sponsors who have a variety of different needs. I also needed someone who was results-orientated in a context where so many promises are being made. This team keeps growing and we want measurable results on and off the bike. It's about building a culture of sporting excellence and accountability. Guy will helps us with both."
