The Dirty 40 Race is a 70 mile gravel road race in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Registration is $50 until July 1st ONLY. Registration includes a free passed water bottle and nutrition at feedzone, a killer BBQ lunch, live music at finish, and one hell of a ride. Field limit 500 riders.

The Dirty 40 Race travels through Derby, Holland, Morgan, Charleston, Westmore, and Brownington, Vermont. 80% of the course is on some of the most rural scenic backroads you will find in the State of Vermont.

The course is tough, real tough. In fact, we've been told it is harder than an Ironman. Climbs as steep as 13% grades and 5600 feet of elevation gain.

We have neutral support on course as well as multiple feedzones and a broomwagon if you are unable to finish.

No license is needed to race. No points assigned. All you need is a bicycle, a helmet, and the will. We have multiple categories including age groups, singlespeed, and tandem.

Our winners do receive bragging rights, a trophy, and a winner's jersey. And we know how tough this race is, so we even have the Lanterne Rouge award for the last place finisher.
