Couriers and psycho cyclists from around the globe are converging in Vancouver this Halloween for yet another crazy figure eight ply-wood track showdown. There are sure to be heaps of wipeouts and beer and bands and............well, we can‚t say much else without incriminating someone. John Englar, proprieter of Jet Fuel coffee shop in Toronto is right now overseeing construction of this track to ensure a hair raising experience. (provided anonymously) Prince George Cycling Club Fall Challenge Series - race #4 of 4 Held at the Otway Nordic Center Sunday Oct 26th (courtesy John Tolkamp) Sunshine and warm temperatures (+12C) greeted the 42 riders for the final event in the Prince George Cycling club‚s race season. While most of the riders gave it one last hard effort, two of the Juniors were seen sunning themselves and enjoying Crispy Crunch bars midway through the race - evidence of a long season which started in late April! After the race club members were treated to a pasta and salad meal followed by draw prizes. Adam Cook was the big winner taking home the $500 front suspension forks - many thanks to the Norco folks for donating the prizes! The club wishes to thank Northern Hardware, Koops bikes, McBike, UltraSport and Olympia Cycle and ski for their great support throughout the year. The wrap-up potluck dinner, AGM and social will be held November 15th at the Prince George Snowmobile club house.
