We have learned that the UCI will award the 2019 Mountain Bike World Championships to Mont Ste Anne, Quebec.  This will be the third time that MSA will host the Worlds - a record.  It is the fourth time that Canada will host the Mountain Bike Worlds - also a record.

"We wish to to thank the UCI and congratulate the Gestev MSA organization committee on securing a third World MTB championships for Canada," said John Tolkamp, President of Cycling Canada.  "There is a tremendous history of fabulous events at MSA and we look forward to welcoming the world again in 2019.  With the Tokyo Olympics a year later, MSA will also play a critical role in nations and athletes securing Olympic qualifications."

Bromont, Quebec was the first Canadian site to host the Mountain Bike World Championships, in 1992.  Gestev has previously organized the Worlds in 1998 and 2010.
