Women's Road Race - end of lap 7

If you didn't catch our corrections to the lap 6 posting - Sue Palmer and Anne Samplonius were in the peloton that was 1:52 down, Lyne Bessette was not. At the end of lap 7 the situation is basically the same, but Zinaida Stahurskaia (Blr) has increased her lead to 1:53 over the lone chaser Elisabeth Chevanne (Fra) and to 2:18 on the pack of 35. Palmer is still in the pack, but Samplonius has dropped just off the back. Erin Carter is still in the race, but 5:15 down. We believe Bessette has abandoned, as has Nicole Freedman of the USA. There is now less than 30 kilometres to race.
