Day 3 Morning

Only one event in the morning today - Women's 3000M Pursuit Qualifying. Canada's entry Erin Carter finished 11th, and did not qualify. The other event of note today is Chris Boardman's World Hour Record attempt - scheduled to start in approximately 15 minutes. It will be Boardman's last competitive event before retiring, and he will be attempting to break Eddy Merckx's old record from 1972 (under the new/old UCI equipment regulations).

Whiterock Gets UCI Ranking

The Tour de Whiterock in British Columbia has appeared on the UCI international calendar with a 1.5 international ranking. The ranking means that top finishers will get important UCI ranking points, making Whiterock much more likely to attract high level competitors.


U.S. NRC Rankings

Gord Fraser led a Mercury domination of the US National Series rankings for the 2000 season. Eric Wohlberg also made the top-10, finishing 8th overall. On the women's side, Tina Mayolo (Autotrader.com) won, with Lyne Bessette 9th.
