Team Canada's Kurt Penno managed to hold onto his Brown Jersey, despite attacks from third placed Riley Sheehan (Team USA) and two mechanicals.  Sheehan finished third for the second consecutive day, to take over the Points Jersey from Penno and to move ahead of Nicholas Diniz (Team Ontario) into second on general classification, and is now only two seconds behind Penno.  Ama Nsek (Stradling p/b Specialized) moves into the Polka Dot jersey, thanks to yesterday's and today's performance.

For the stage, which came down to a field sprint, Emiliano Mirafuentes Resendez (Team Mexico) took the stage win and Richard Holec (Stradling p/b Specialized) finished second, with Sheehan third.  Penno could not contest the sprint after a mechanical that require him to chase back to the peloton to keep his jersey. A lone break by Edouard Beaudoin (Equipe du Quebec) at Kilometre 48 gained nearly a minute before a chase group joined him, and the break managed to stay clear until the race entered the final finishing circuit in Amos.
