Specialized Bicycle Components has issued a recall on 2018 bicycle models Allez, Allez Sport, and Allez Elite. Riders should immediately stop riding these bikes and return them to retailers due to a potential manufacturing defect that could result in fork failure and injury. There have been no reported injuries. The recall involves approximately 13,000 bikes worldwide, although less than 400 purchasers are affected in Canada.
Owners should take their bikes to a Specialized retailer for a fork replacement program. They will also receive a customer appreciation gift card.
