U.S.-based continental team Aevolo Cycling has signed 18-year-old Tristan Jussaume for the 2020 season.  Formerly part of Dynamiks de Contrecoeur squad as a Junior competitor, the Quebecois time trial specialist will wear Aevolo colors for the first time in the U23 ranks.

Jussaume's inspiration to begin racing came from his older sister [Laurie], who started riding at age eight.  "I was six at the time," Jussaume said. "Two years later, she was doing her first race.  I saw her getting podiums shortly after her début. Seeing her evolving in the sport and having fun racing, made me want to follow her path and start racing too."

After competing for several years, Jussaume found his strength lies in long sustained efforts and excels at time trialling and the individual pursuit on the track.  His best result to date is third place in the Pursuit at the Junior Track World Championships this year.

"Next year is going to be a big step for me, as it's going to be my first year in the elite ranks," Jussaume said.  "My main goal is going to learn as much as I can and get as much experience as possible. I would like to help my team get good results and at the same time learn a little bit more about teamwork."
