Ontario High School MTB Championships

The race course is now set and marked for the High School MTB Championships, taking place June 1, 2001 at Hardwood Hills. The Championships are open to any full time Elementary or High School student. Awards recognize Individual results as well as Team results. Students are highly encouraged to bring complete teams for school glory.

First EPO Positive Test

Bo Hamburger of the CSC World Online team is the first rider to test positive with the UCI's controversial EPO test. He was immediately suspended by manager Bjarne Riis. It is interesting to note that Hamburger's positive did not result in the dropping of CSC by the Tour de France (as has been the case in other years, with other squads). A cynical person might attribute it to the fact that Frenchman Laurent Jalabert's is with CSC, but we won't go there...
