So far we've had a total of 76 participants in the Hamilton Cycling Club's Tuesday Night Criterium Training Ride. It's great training, hot competition and fun, too....and we always go to Tim Horton's after. Come on out and join us!

Under threat of thunderstorms, tonight we had 24 participants. The rain held off and we had a perfect evening. As of this week we've added two features to the race:

1. With 24 laps to go, we have a $5.00 prime which was won by JASON VALENTI this week.

2. With 12 laps to go, we have a 3-point prime which was won by BRENDAN DUFF this week.

Tonight's race was exciting with BRENDAN DUFF breaking away early on his own. CHRIS REID caught up and they remained away for a few more laps when the pack caught them. Soon BRENDAN was away again in a break with JASON VALENTI and DOMENIC RIGATO with MIREK MAZUR joining them in short order. These four stayed well ahead for the remainder of the race with CHRIS REID on his own behind them and the pack behind him.

The finishing order for June 19th was:

1. Brendan Duff
2. Jason Valenti
3. Mirek Mazur
4. Domenic Rigato
5. Chris Reid

The OVERALL STANDINGS as of June 19th are:

1. Mirek Mazur 29 pts
2. Brendan Duff 27
3. Jason Valenti 19
4. Paul Rego 18
5. Greg Cavanagh

Each week points are awarded thus:

1. 6 points
2. 5 points
3. 4 points
4. 3 points
5. 2 points
participation. 1 point
prime with 12 laps to go. 3 points

We'll award prizes at the end of the summer!
