2003 World Road Cycling Championships

It has been a busy day with cancelled flights and press conferences keeping us hopping. So we are working at catching up.

Rob and I were both able to attend the press conference in Hamilton today, where the Minister of Canadian Heritage, Sheila Copps announced the Board of Directors and the Board of Governors for the 2003 World Road Cycling Championships. Hein Verbruggen, President of the UCI, was also on hand for the announcement and a tour of the course. Rob spoke with Mr Verbruggen and will post his interview tomorrow.

The Board of Governors will be responsible for providing general guidance and advice and for acting as high-profile ambassadors for the event.

The Board of Directors - will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of the Championships.
