2001 Road World Cycling Championships Lisbon, Portugal
This report made possible through the sponsorship of CompuTrainer and Peak Centre

The last of the junior men is now on course for the individual time trial - Jurgen van den Broeck (Belgium). However, the big favourite is Jukka Vastaranta (Finland), winner of Abitibi and the Junior World Challenge series this year. Vastaranta was second last to leave, and his progress around the course can be tracked by the helicopters hovering overhead. Conditions are perfect - about 18 Celcius, sunny and very little wind.
