Canadians Sweep VeloNews North American Awards

VeloNews yesterday confirmed what Canadian cyclists already know, Roland Green and Lyne Bessette are Number One! by awarding them top honours in their North American Cyclist of the Year awards.

Green became the first Canuck and mountain biker to win the award and Bessette becomes only the the second Canadian woman after Linda Jackson was awarded in 1997 and again in 1998.

Green was also a finalist in the International Cyclist of the Year Award, won by Lance Armstrong.

Geneviève Jeanson was a finalist in the North American Award.
