BikeTrek is not a race; it is an opportunity to cycle quiet country roads and explore scenic York and Georgian Bay regions while supporting the efforts of The Lung Association. This year's event is scheduled for the August 17 & 18th week-end. The BikeTrek begins in Newmarket at the Ray Twinney Recreation complex on Saturday morning. Cyclists will travel through the Georgian Bay region and stay overnight at the Kempenfelt Conference Centre, which boasts beautiful lake front accomodations. The journey ends on Sunday, back at Ray Twinney Rec. Complex with a Finish Line BBQ for cyclists, their families and friends, and sponsors.
