BC Summer Games Cycling Qualification Races
Zone 3 Fraser Valley

Zone 3 Fraser Valley includes the following:

Regional Districts of Central Fraser Valley, Dewdney Alouette, Fraser-Cheam, and including major centres Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Hope, Langley, maple Ridge, Mission, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey and White Rock.

Eligibility:
Males and females 13-16 years of age. Athletes must be a minimum of 13 and a maximum of 16 years old by December 21, 2002.

Team Selection:
Will be based on points and on coach/manager selection.

Events and Categories for Summer Games

Road Race:20km (13-14 year olds)
40km (15-16 year olds)
Mtb 45 minutes (13-14 year olds)
1 hour (15-16 year olds)
Tandem Road Time TrialOptional, up to 10km
RelayComposed of all team members.


Qualifying

Please contact zone coach Jeff Tvergyak at jtvergyak@hotmail.com to let him know that you are interested in being considered for the BC Summer Games. You are also responsible for forwarding your results.

The following races will be qualifying races for Zone 3 Fraser Valley. To be considered for the BCSG you must participate in a minimum of 4 races, 2 road and 2 mtb races. You must also participate in either Races 2 or 4(mtb), and you must participate in race 7 (road) (unless other arrangements have been made with Zone coach).

Athlete Registration Fee

An Athlete Registration Fee of $50.00 for each athlete will be assessed for the Games.
