Another wonderful week of spring weather has ended up on a definate high for us here in Calgary. After Monday - Thursday snow storms, and a 3 hour snow shovelling workout on Thursday morning we finally were able to get on the track 3 days in a row. Thursday night racing was a great way to start off the weekend of racing, we had a great turn out of athletes , parents and fans to take in the 2nd night of Thursday night racing of the year.
Friday night was our first "sprint ladder" , and 11 athletes took part in this tournament.
Today we had our 2nd weekend "saturday morning time trials" event. 31 athletes took part in todays races under sunny skies. The weather at our 10 am start time was a bit cool (+7 degrees) , but by mid day (at our 2 pm finish) it had reached our day time high of 12 degrees.
Thanks to the volunteers once again for your assistance in pulling this together. Special thanks to Mike Bentley for your assistance setting up and operating the electronic timing.
* Air temp. at 10h00 was -2 degrees celcius. Wind chill = -7degrees celcius.
