Museeuw Wins Flanders

Johann Museeuw (Mapei) was the strongest rider at the Tour of Flanders today, breaking away on the Tenbosse climb with 17 kilometres to go, and winning by 1 minute (his third victory in this race). He had a slight scare early in the race, when he went down in a crash, but his team quickly brought him back to the front.

In a shocking related story - retired former world champion Rudy Dhaenens was critically injured in a car crash on his way to the finish of the race. He is reported to be in a coma.
