The weather was very kind this weekend - a slight NW breeze and lots of sunshine. A total of 129 riders entered the event, with all categories well represented except juniors (2) and women (8).

The opening hill climb was a 2.8km slog up the North end of Sir Winston Churchill Blvd. - a fairly fast climb with a sting 2/3rd. of the way up. The road race circuit drew a number of comments from all categories - only 1 short flat section and the rest - rolling back roads and the prime hill at the end of each lap.

Everyone was most enthusiastic about the TTT and there were numerous pleas to have more events in this discipline.

The final stage was a criterium on the popular Hershey course - in reverse! It worked very well and we may put in more races on this left hand course during La Bicicletta Midweek Series.

Many thanks to the Midweek C.C. and Brampton C.C. volunteers, the Peel Emergency Radio Club. Doug Pogue and his band of officials, the riders and teams who supported the race and the residents of Terra Cotta and Cheltenham (only 1 complaint).
