Redline Bicycle and Genesis Cycles have signed an exclusive deal for the distribution of Redline products in Canada.

Genesis owner Elio Moracci is extremely excited about the decision. "We are really looking forward to supplying all of Canada with the most popular BMX bikes on the market. Their 2003 line is extremely impressive and will be in high demand," he stated.

Moracci and his wife Dianne, founded GENESIS in 1996. They are based out of Toronto, in a 8,700 square foot warehouse. Genesis employs 10 people, who are looking forward to meeting the Canadian demand for Redline bikes. For the past few years, GENESIS had seen tremendous growth and great success as the exclusive distributor for Haro bikes. After building the brand in Canada, only to lose it to Norco this year, Ilio began the search for the next hottest brand of BMX bike.

And Redline was it.

Seattle Bike Supply, owner and exclusive U.S. Distributor for Redline Bicycles, is thrilled to finally get Redline bikes across the northern border. "We've been trying for years, unsuccessfully," said Brent Carlson; Sales Director for SBS. "to deal with Canada's dumping laws. Genesis is exactly the means we were looking for to represent Redline in Canada. They offer many of the same brands that SBS handles, and they provide the same fast, friendly, quality service that SBS is known for. Genesis is a niche market dirstributor that fits well with the SBS mode of operations."

The demand for Redline's in Canada has always existed, but has steadily grown these past two years. "We've sponsored a few top BMX racers and teams in Canada," explained Redline's U.S. marketing director known as gOrk, "hoping to get a Canadian ally in our family. Thanks to the B&P Cycles team and our recent acquisition in Chris Astrofooroff - No.7 in the World, the demand for Redline's has already been built up. Once the bikes arrive on Canadian soil - with the typical Redline quality and affordable pricing, Genesis should have a real easy sale."

Being semi-centrally located, GENESIS is able to meet the needs of the entire country from their headquarters in Toronto. "For shops on the West Coast, in British Columbia, we can get their order to them in 4 to 5 days. For Alberta and Ontario, Genesis has a good number of shops who are already looking forward to the arrival of Redline Bikes to Canada."

Canadian Dealers who are interested in carrying the hot-selling, high demand REDLINE brand can contact GENESIS at 416-749-7860.
